Welcome to Granary Cottage at Spikers Hill Farm, our self catering holiday cottage in West Ayton near Scarborough in North Yorkshire, within the North Yorkshire Moors. Situated on a private 500 acre working farm, this excellent self-catering accommodation sleeps up to 4 people and is furnished in country style.
Our North Yorkshire Self Catering Accommodation
Granary Cottage provides self-catering accommodation for up to 4 people and is dog friendly. The cottage is a recent conversion from a granary and cart shed and enjoys views over farmland to the Vale of Pickering and Wykeham Forestry. The cottage has a lounge area with comfortable suite, TV and DVD Player and Games and Books available. The Kitchen/Dining area is fully equipped with dishwasher, cooker, microwave, spin dryer etc. There is a toilet/cloakroom downstairs.
There are two bedrooms one a double and the other a twin. The double can be made into a family room if required, with child bed or baby cot, and the twin can be made in to a super king. The modern spacious bathroom has a separate bath and walk-in shower. There is also private parking outside the cottage
There are a children’s slide and swings available and scenic and woodland walks, on the farm and forge valleys national nature reserve.

Our cottage is in delightful countryside in a quiet peaceful location on a 500 acre working farm in West Ayton close to Scarborough in North Yorkshire, within the North Yorkshire Moors. Spikers Hill Farm is ideally located for access to many of the fine beaches in the area including Scarborough, Filey, Whitby and Robin Hoods Bay. Scarborough offers all the usual sea-side activities and the town of Pickering is within easy reach and is the main station of the North Yorkshire steam railway, which rides through the beautiful forest and moor land of heart beat country.
There are many activities available in the area including riding/pony trekking, golf, bowls, fishing and boat trips. There are also many walks, picnic areas and mountain bike hirers within a short drive and a great selection of fine country inns and restaurants as well.
