Welcome to Hall Croft Guest House, our 4 star Appleby B&B. Hall Croft is a restored Victorian villa situated on the tree-lined village green in the picturesque village of Dufton, near Appleby-in-Westmorland in Cumbria. This makes our bed and breakfast ideal for exploring Cumbria, the Lake District and across to Northumberland and north to Scotland.
The village of Dufton lies at the foot of the Pennines and the house enjoys wonderful views. Hall Croft stands in mature gardens which guests are welcome to enjoy. For anyone wanting peace and tranquility, this is the place to be. There are amble opportunities for walking and cycling or just enjoying the peace and quiet - this is an ideal place to chill out.
We pride ourselves on the warmth of our hospitality and like to think that nothing is too much to ensure that guests feel welcome in our home. Our bed and breakfast provides comfortable rooms with TV videos and a choice of films is available. There is a guest lounge/ dining room where you will be welcomed with homemade cake and tea. Breakfasts are substantial and made up of a variety of home made and home produced food. Although we do not serve meat guests can enjoy a wide variety of fresh food at breakfast time.
Our Appleby B&B welcome children and will take dogs by arrangement. We are able to offer advice on activities available and are happy to lead walks, cycle rides or runs.
Our B&B location means we have the ideal base for exploring not just Cumbria and the Lake District, but also east to Northumberland, and north to Dumfries and Galloway and the Scottish Borders.
