Heather View is a 3 bedroomed cottage set in the village of Threlkeld, near Keswick, in the northern Lake District. Threlkeld is a small village situated at the foot of Blencathra which is a popular walk. The village also has 2 pubs both of which serve excellent food and drink.
Heather View is ideally located for those looking for a picturesque base in which to explore the northern fells straight from the cottage.
The cottage can accommodate up to 6 adults in 3 bedrooms, there are 2 double bedrooms one with en suit shower room with walk in shower, WC and wash basin also a spacious twin bedroom. There is a large family bathroom thats just been fully refurbished, with bath and over head shower a washbasin and WC. There is a separate dining room with ample seating for 6 people with views overlooking Blencathra the lounge is just across the hallway with open fire (coal supplied) there is a TV, DVD player and a Cd radio player this also overlooks Blencathra Fell. The kitchen is well equipped with electric cooker, microwave, fridge with small freezer compartment, there is also a freezer in the utility room with 3 drawers in. The property is fully central heated. There is a separate utility room with washer, dryer and freezer and space to put your bikes and walking gear.
Guests are able to enjoy the peaceful garden in which the cottage is set and take in the views, there are table and chairs for 6 people and a bench to relax on. There is private parking in the garden for up to 4 cars.
Keswick is only a 5 minute drive away with plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants, you can walk to Keswick from Threlkeld via the old railway lines. Keswick golf club is just up the road.
All our cottages are dog friendly and we take short breaks during the winter months November through to March.
Threlkeld
Threlkeld is a small picturesque village which is overlooked by Blencathra fell and St Johns in the Vale with its peaceful valley running from Threlkeld through to Thirlmere with beautiful scenery and and the Helvellyn range in the back ground. The old railway line is the perfect walk or cycle route to take to keswick which is only 4 miles away. Threlkeld Village is perfect for exploring the northern fells, with plenty of walks from here. Threlkeld also has 2 traditional pubs that serve excellent food and drink, The Horse and Farrier and The Salutation Inn both are in walking distance in the village.
