Welcome to our self catering cottage in Grantown-on-Spey
Private parking allows you to park outside the cottage. As you enter the open plan lounge there is a staircase to the 1st floor where you will find the master bedroom and the bathroom. The latter has a bath and an overhead electric shower. Through the lounge you come to the dinning room, the kitchen, the games room and the 2nd bedroom. This room has twin beds and an en suite toilet. All bed linen is provided all you need to take is your own towels. The lounge has a multi fuel stove for cosy relaxing evenings. There is also a television and a video player. There is a garden outside where you can enjoy the sun and maybe a bar-b-q.
The town centre is a short stroll allowing you to walk to the shops during the day or a choice of resturants in the evening.
Grantown is an excellent base for exploring the highlands. Inverness, Loch Ness,the Black isle, even Skye and Balmoral are all accessible as day trips. The surrounding countryside has much to offer. Fishing, golf, walking,ornithology, the whiskey trail, cycling, water sports are all on offer. There is a lovely steam railway that runs from Aviemore to Broomhill, or you could visit the reindeer centre. A brochure in the cottage gives you suggestions of where you can go and what you can do.
