Welcome to our Chambres d’hote in Lezay, West of France
Our charming L'ancienne école chambres d’hote, a formers school house offers a peaceful and relaxing setting in the Poitou - Charente countryside in France. The garden and terrace is surrounded by the old walled playground. The village of Lezay is located close by with a variety of local amenities. The former school house has three bedrooms all with ensuites.
Our Chambres d’hote/B&B facilities
Our three bedrooms all with ensuite have been decorated in French design and are furnished with traditional French pieces. On the first floor there are two bright and spacious double rooms. On the ground floor there is a family room with a double bed and a single bed. The family room has access out on to a sheltered terrace. All bedrooms have electric heaters, ceiling fans installed to keep you cool in the summer and help keep the warmth in the winter. Our bed and breakfast has a separate entrance form our accommodation which allows you to come and go easily.
The bed and breakfast is ideal for families as in the grounds there is a children's play area, sand pit and boules court. There are outdoor games and toys to entertain children.
L'ancienne école chambres d’hote is situated in the village of Lezay between the cities of Poitiers and Niort in France. Our bed and breakfast is easily accessible by TGV train, road or by air from nearby airports at Poitiers, La Rochelle, Rochefort, Bordeaux and Limoges. It is just under an hour to Poitiers airport and to Niort from the bed and breakfast. It is situated on the Charente, Vienne and Deux sevre borders which are why it has a varied countryside. This countryside is ideal for walking and biking.
The village of Lezay offers many different activities such as swimming, tennis, horse riding and fishing. In the village there is a beautiful park with a pond to explore and relax in.
Every Tuesday in the village there is a bustling traditional French market where you can sample local produce and wines.
