Welcome to our B&B in Avignon France
La Bastide des Anges is a charming B&B, with a four acres garden and a swimming pool, located on the Barthelasse Island, an oasis of calm and green countryside, only 5 kilometers away from Avignon city center. Every bedroom has airconditioned, private bathroom and separate toilets and is well decorated.
We have four bedrooms that can sleep upto eleven people. Our rooms have air-conditioning and feature a private bathroom and separate wc. They combine contemporary spirit with charm of ancient materials and old objects.
Rooms occupy a wing of Bastide and have an independant entrance.
Our France Location
The unspoilt Barthelasse Island offers a wide range of outdoors ativities. You’ll enjoy its tennis courts, riding stable, rowing center, peaceful freshwater angling, and its restaurants. The Island is an ideal place for walking, cycling (cycles are available for free at La Bastide des Anges), and also for buying fruit and vegetables at its attractive, neat farms, or for visiting a distillery.
The Island is at the crossroads of Provence and Languedoc, two areas with impressive Mediterannean landscapes as well as magnificent historical buildings and cultural places.
On the left side of the Rhône valley, you’ll find Avignon, with its famous La cite des papes, the most important gothic palace in Europe, and its Benezet Bridge, the bridge of legendary fame. On the right side of the Rhône valley, Villeneuve-lez-Avignon is a charming medieval village, city of cardinals in the XIVth century. With its Chartreuse and its collegiale church, it represents a true heritage site.
