Le Tilleul is set within the peaceful village of Paizay le Tort, a charming river valley encompassed by three chateaux surrounded by sunflowers in the Poitou Charentes region, 5km from the Romanesque market town of Melle. The River Berlande meanders through the village, and pleasant walks, rambles or bicycle rides can be found from this most typical French village, which has a Roman church, friendly bar/restaurant, tennis courts and obstacle course only a short stroll away.
Known for its micro-climate, the region is the second sunniest region in France, with Poitiers airport 45 minutes and La Rochelle a little further.
La Boheme (sleeps 5) with charming vine covered patio, arranged on ground floor, with exposed beams, tiled and parquet floors throughout. The large equipped detached gite includes cooker, fridge, microwave etc, with a separate utility housing washing machine, tumble dryer and second w.c. The living area is provided with colour sat t.v, video, c.d. player, wood burner. Two bedrooms, a double with French doors leading to the patio, while the second can accommodate three single, large shower room with washbasin, w.c. shaver point.
