La Cave Sabatié

Welcome to your holiday home.  La Cave Sabatié has been in our family for nearly 200 years.   My grandfather used this stone built cave/winery to make and store his wine.  Now it has been lovingly and carefully renovated to a comfortable and more modern standard, yet it still retains many of the original features.   It is delightfully cool in summer due to the thickness of the walls - a must for tourists unused to the baking heat here in the South of France.

On entering the house you will be surprised at how spacious the rooms are.  The front door opens directly into a bright sunny reception room which can be used as bedroom number 3. 

Leading from here is a bedroom equipped with bunk beds and perfect for the children – or two agile adults! The bold and theatrical painting which adorns this room was painted by Alex, our 10 year old son.

If you continue straight ahead you will find yourself in a bright, modern, fully equipped kitchen large enough for 6 people to sit comfortably at the dining table. A family sized fridge, dishwasher, cooker, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee machine and all cookware, crockery and utensils are provided for your use.

The bathroom, which has both bath and separate shower cubicle, houses the washing machine.  The toilet is in a separate room.  Both of these rooms are up a small staircase leading from the back of the kitchen area.

The circular staircase from the kitchen/dining area leads you into the lounge, complete with original stone walls.   Perfectly equipped for you to relax, this room contains the television with satellite free to view English channels, DVD player and the music centre.  A small table and chairs are also provided for your convenience.

There is a doorway leading from the lounge directly onto the sunny terrace complete with barbecue and garden furniture for you to make the most of the beautiful weather in this region whilst languishing in Languedoc.

 The exceptionally roomy master-bedroom with double bed and chests of drawers and wardrobe area leads from the other side of the lounge.
