A warm and comfortable bed and breakfast located near the beautiful and historic village of Falkland, Fife. The house was a Manse until 1985 and was owned by Francis Shand Kydd for 10 years until her death in 2004. Visited by Diana, Princess of Wales, and her sons, the Princes William and Harry.
Large and cosy bedrooms are all bright and luxurious, and there is a Drawing Room for the guests' use. Breakfast is served in the light and airy conservatory with views over North Fife aqnd the village of Falkland.
The property is within an hours drive of over 50 Golf Courses, and sits at the foot of East Lomond, and ideal base for golfers and walkers. Nearby is the East Neuk of Fife and the villages of Crail, Pittenweem, Anstruther and Elie. St Andrews is within 20 miles. Edinburgh is 45 minutes away and the train for the city is 5 minutes away.
Breakfasts are wholesome and delicious, and use locally sourced or organic ingredients. Home made muffins and croissants are available for those who prefer a lighter breakfast.
