Welcome to our Guest House in the Lake District
Perfect for relaxing, Osprey watching, walking, sailing shopping and eating out! We can store your bikes safely and have a drying room for those wet and muddy boots! If you prefer to be pampered we are just 5mins away from a brand new luxury Spa which offers pamper days. There are several good eateries within a 5 minute drive including The Pheasant Inn which offers fine dining in its Rosette award restaurant and is within walking distance of the Guest House. We are happy to make advance Dinner reservations for you. You are welcome to bring your own wines to drink on the premises in the relaxing lounge or on the furnished outside terrace in warmer weather.

Lakeside Country Guest House has a silver award and provides high quality Bed & Breakfast Accommodation in eight comfortably furnished bedrooms, seven of which are en-suite. All bedrooms include a brand new flat screen TV's and DVD players., Radio alarms, hair dryer, shoe cleaning and tea/coffee making facilities, and we have two superior bedrooms which are more spacious than the standard bedrooms with triple aspect windows looking out to magnificent views of Bassenthwaite Lake and Skiddaw mountain range..
Original oak panelling and oak floors, plus 100 year old stained glass windows and doors add to the charm and character of this enchanting place.The comfortable lounge, which overlooks the lake, is a great place to relax. You can select a book from the library, play chess, watch TV, log on to our internet access or simply browse through the local information folder. We also have ample parking available within the grounds.

Lakeside Country Guest House is an elegant Edwardian property ideally situated on the shores of Bassenthwaite Lake in the Lake District in Cumbria. The beautiful views over the lake and the Skiddaw mountain range beyond are truly breathtaking. The location is superb, yet it is less than 10 minutes drive to either the bustling tourist town of Keswick or the quieter Georgian Town of Cockermouth (the birth place of William Wordsworth). The area has many shops, pubs, restaurants and lots of activities and attractions for you to enjoy.
