Welcome to Langdale View, our holiday accommodation in the Lake District
Our medium sized 3 star cottage can sleep up to 6 but is absolutely ideal for one or two couples, friends or family, short breaks are sometimes available last minute. Please telephone for availability. Our cottage is perfect all year round for holidays in The Lake District.
This Lakeland holiday home is in an ideal location to really get away from it all!! Set at the foot of the Langdale Valley it is 4 miles from Ambleside, 2 from Grasmere and 6 from Coniston. There are spectacular walks from the door or you can take a drive to other lakes and villages or over the Wrynose and Hardknott passes to the sea.
Chapel Stile boasts the friendliest Co-op, Wainwrights pub and the prestigious Langdale Country Club where you can get a day pass to swim and pamper if it happens to be a dull day.
The house is very comfortable with memory foam mattresses, large sofa and lots of cushions. TV with sky, video and dvd are fitted. There are also games and extensive information about Lakeland attractions. Table and chairs are also generous sized.
Heating is warm air plus a living flame fire in the lounge. Cooking is all electric [there is no gas in the village]. There is also a microwave, dishwasher, toaster, sandwich maker and is well equipped.

Langdale View has an enviable location amid some of Lakeland’s most spectacular scenery. Everywhere you look is natural beauty. If you prefer a delightful walk - it's easy to get to Elterwater, Rydal, Ambleside and Skelwith Bridge on foot for a fantastic day out. The Cumbrian Way runs along the outskirts of the village.
At the entry to the Langdale valley on the outskirts of Chapel Stile with fine views from every window, the cottage faces due south & is an ideal base for touring, walking or climbing.
Stroll 250 yards back to this quaint little village whose church holds the famous Langdale Tapestry.
Enjoy countless delightful walks right from the door. Climb the famous Langdale Pikes, hike over to Grasmere, stroll along the river to Elterwater or along the Langdale Valley to Dungeon Ghyll or take the bus to Ambleside with its shops & restaurants. By car, avoid the traffic and take the back road to Coniston, Hawkshead and the ferry to Windermere.
