Welcome to our Large Self Catering West Sussex Holiday House
The Farmhouse sleeps 8 and the Dairy Cottage sleeps 6.In addition to the Farmhouse and Dairy Cottage there is an Annex to the Dairy Cottage which sleeps four in dormitory style accommodation, ideal for older children. All units communicat internally and the Farmhouse dining room table seats 14 comfortably and 18 at a squash.
A particular attraction of Poplars Farmhouse is that it is surrounded by its own expansive grounds of nearly 3 acres. Either side of the long drive up to the house are paddocks with ducks, chickens and sheep. Children will be invited to "help" the owner collect eggs and feed the sheep. There is a magnificent barn which has 2 full size and one 1 junior table tennis table. It has a snooker table, a darts board and a sand pit. Both sitting rooms have large TVs and a selection of DVDs. The Farmhouse sitting room has an open fully usable log fire and a decent grand piano. The Farmhouse kitchen is fully equipped and has an AGA also an electric stove. It is a large room with a breakfast table. All three units communicate internally yet are fully separable. Ideal for large family gatherings. Also suitable for small company meetigs or corporate bonding. Wireless WiFi broadband available free of charge.
Our West Sussex Location
There is sailing nearby in Chichester Harbour from Itchenor, Chichester Yacht Basin and Dell Quay with internationally famous windsurfing at
West Wittering. There are clean sandy beaches at Bracklesham (boat launch ramp) and the Witterings and sand, shingle and seafood at Selsey.
There are lovely houses and gardens to look at in the area plus the fascinating remains of the Roman villa at Fishbourne.
Chichester is a mellow market town and cathedral city with good shopping and a renowned Festival Theatre. There is a multiplex cinema, a bowling alley and a good sports complex with large indoor pool. A short distance to the North of the town is The Weald and Downland Open-air Museum, Goodwood (horses, cars and golf) and Fontwell (horses) are close. Portsmouth (with more good shops and cinemas, naval museums and ferries to France and the Isle of Wight) is only 30 minutes away by car, Brighton less than an hour.
