Grisedale Lodge is a lovely traditional Lakeland house which dates back to Victorian times. Our idyllic location, close to the southern shores of Ullswater lake and at the heart of the Lake District, means you can enjoy the peace and quiet, whilst surrounded by inspiring views of the Lake District scenery.
Ideal for a romantic break, a family holiday, some real peace and relaxation or an energetic walking, biking or sailing holiday.
Lower Grisedale Lodge forms the ground floor of Grisedale Lodge and provides spacious and comfortable holiday accommodation for up to 5 people. The cottage is designed round a large hall with its own comfy sofa. The well equipped kitchen looks over the garden and has a breakfast table and plenty of work surfaces for the enthusiastic cook. The comfortable lounge and dining room has a traditional coal fire and storage heater and is equipped with Sky Freeview TV, DVD player and CD player. There is plenty of information about the local area and a selection of DVDs and CDs for you to enjoy. This room leads into the light and airy conservatory - ideal for planning your next day out, enjoying the stunning scenery or savouring your after-dinner glass of wine. You may even catch sight of our woodpecker! From the conservatory you have easy access to the enclosed garden which has plenty of outside seating.
The cottage has three bedrooms - one double bedroom; one twin bedroom; and one single bedroom. All have plenty of storage for all the stuff you bring on holiday and are heated by storage heaters. The bathroom has a bath and separate shower, toilet and wash basin. The cottage also has private parking for up to two cars.
Lower Grisedale Lodge is located midway between the Lakeland villages of Patterdale and Glenridding and is well located for exploring the Lake District National Park ~ Keswick, Windermere and Ambleside are within a 30 minute drive and Grasmere, Coniston, the Langdales and Borrowdale valley aren't much further away.
