Our Accommodation in Snowdonia
Daflod is a quaint barn conversion apartment situated on an organic working farm. Many original features have been retained such as exposed beams and the large lounge window, which was once the opening of the Hayloft - hence the name Daflod meaning loft in Welsh, giving this beautiful apartment an abundance of charming character.
The Lounge is traditionally furnished providing a cosy cottage feel, with ample comfortable seating, LCD TV, DVD player, music system and electric fire.
The superbly equipped kitchen, with gas cooker, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and microwave, means you will find everything you need to prepare anything from a simple breakfast to an elaborate meal!
The double and twin bedrooms are charmingly furnished with plenty of cupboard space to unpack. The beds are made up ready for your arrival. The double bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and the twin bedroom has an en-suite shower room. The twin beds can be zipped together to provide a kingsize bed if required.
We are family friendly and can provide a cot, highchair and bed guard.
Each window provides stunning views of open fields, distant sand dunes and mountain ranges.
Our Location in between Barmouth & Harlech in North Wales
Our barn conversion is nestled between beach and mountains on the west coast of Snowdonia National Park, with the castle town of Harlech to the north and seaside town of Barmouth to the south. Ideally located for exploring the many delights Snowdonia and North Wales have to offer.
You will certainly not be short of things to do and see, whether it is activity and adventure you are looking for the opportunity to relax and unwind. On the doorstep you will find a sandy beach, mountain & coastal walks, golf course, theatre, swimming pool, castle, slate cavern, steam trains, cycle-ways, watersports and much much more!
Other Facilities
Just a few steps from Daflod is the Games Barn, laundry room with drying room, children's play area and barbecue/picnic area, car park and large playing field for ball games etc. The Games Barn houses a 'pub style' pool table, table football, table tennis and film library. A great favourite with both adults and children.
