Welcome to our Cottage near Edinburgh
Inside you will find everything you need for a comfortable stay in our cosy and spacious cottage.
On the ground Floor there is a fully-equipped family kitchen ,and a beautifully tiled wetroom next to the sunny twin bedroom. The whole ground-floor area is wheelchair friendly, and is tiled throughout to create a relaxing sense of space and light. There is a TV in the downstairs bedroom.
Upstairs there is a cosy sitting-room with a wood-burning stove and lovely views looking out across our 30 acre field to the hills beyond. There is a tiled bathroom with a bath and shower, a spacious bedroom with a double bed, and a single bedroom.
We welcome well-behaved dogs, but they must be kept under good control at all times, and must not be left alone in the cottage at any time. At present, we have no livestock on our field, making it ideal for dog-walking.
We also have a half-mile stretch of the River Lyne - pleasant to dangle a fishing line, and visitors are welcome to have a go at fishing. More serious fishers will find many other good sites nearby, and permits are available at a reasonable price.
Our Location
Our cottage is located half a mile north of the small village of Romanno Bridge, and three miles from the picturesque and historic village of West Linton. Peebles and Penicuik are each 10 miles distant, with Edinburgh city centre a pleasant 30 minutes by car. The cottage is ideally placed for exploring the beautiful Borders countryside, or visiting the many attractions of Edinburgh, while the Edinburgh By-Pass makes it possible to enjoy other lovely parts of Scotland.
