Welcome to Moss Bank Self Catering Cottage
Charming traditional eighteenth century terraced cottage situated in a peaceful position above Ambleside with views of Wansfell and Loughrigg fells and close to Stockghyll falls. It takes only five minutes to walk into the centre of Ambleside with its many fine restaurants, pubs and cafes, shops, galleries and cinemas.
There is a pretty south facing garden with table and chairs and parking for one vehicle in front of the cottage. Moss Bank is to be found off the Kirkstone Road which connects Ambleside to the Kirkstone Pass and there are many lovely walks to be made from the doorstep.
The interior is prettily and comfortably furnished throughout and has many original features and plenty of character. The cosy sitting room has an old stone fireplace and woodburning stove and is furnished with a large sofa and two easy chairs. There is a television and hifi.
There is a double bedroom, separate WC and bathroom (with bath) on the first floor, and two further bedrooms, a small double and a single, on the second floor under the eaves. The cottage has central heating provided by a combination gas boiler, which also provides hot water (costs are included in the rental). Bed linens are also provided within the cost of the rental. Towels, however, are not included, and you should bring your own.
