Moyness House is a charming Victorian villa, dating from 1880, which was once the home of acclaimed Scottish writer, Neil Gunn. It is now a highly regarded guest house, offering luxurious B&B accommodation in 6 stylish en suite rooms.
All rooms retain their period character but offer modern comfort and facilities. Room amenities include freeview TV, DVD players, free in room wireless internet connection, clock radios/CD players, hospitality trays, bath robes, hair dryers, central heating, quality toiletries.
Breakfast is served in the elegant dining room, and features a wide range of choices from a menu favouring locally produced and organic ingredients. Guests are welcome to relax in the stylish sitting room, with its antique furniture, wide selection of guide books, Scottish literature, and general fiction, and assortment of board games. Throughout the house the walls are hung with works of art by Scottish and international artists.
There is a secluded walled garden, lined with mature trees, and offering a peaceful retreat in which to relax.
For the comfort of the majority of guests, Moyness House is no smoking throughout, although guests are welcome to smoke in the garden.
There is ample parking in the grounds to accommodate cars for all guests.
Moyness House is situated in a quiet residential street, near Inverness city centre, a selection of excellent restaurants, Eden Court Theatre, and the River Ness. Bught Park sports facilities, Inverness Aquadome, and Inverness Ice Centre are all less than 15 minutes walk.
