We also have a self catering cottage which sleeps up to 7people. It consists of a two double rooms, kitchen/diner, Lounge, a single and a twin room.
There is always plenty going on at Ormsary as we are very much a working farm with a herd of Ayrshire Cows milked twice a day. We also grow our own crop Silage harvested in May and August, and Barley harvested in September. When not enjoying the comfortable surroundings at Ormsary there are many other outdoor activities close by to enjoy like trout fishing on local lochs and rivers and excellent golf.
For breathtaking scenery, why not take a walk to the Mull of Kintyre Lighthouse, made famous in Paul McCartney's song, and take along your binoculars, the ornithological enthusiast will not want to miss an opportunity.
For golf enthusiasts why not try our local 18 hole links golf course at Dunaverty or really spoil yourself and have a round or two at Machrihanish Championship Course.
There are also numerous unspoilt sandy beaches scattered around the friendly parish of Southend.

Kintyre's accessible but reasonably remote location is one of its best assets, affording peace, quiet and an leisurely pace of life, and the opportunity to visit areas and attractions without queues and throngs of visitors.
Walking
The Kintyre Way walk opened in 2006 and enables walkers of all abilities to walk the length and breadth of Kintyre in relative isolation and safety. The walk which accumulates to approximately 86 miles is divided into manageable sections to give walkers of all abilities time to rest and enjoy good food and hospitable accommodation before and after each stretch.
Why not take the time to explore the areas there and see any historical items of interest such as Saddell Abbey, Tarbert Castle, Skipness Castle and of course the Mull of Kintyre.
There are also many shorter walks across Kintyre with some fantastic stretches of coastline to explore throughout the peninsula.
Golfing
Golfers are in for a real treat, with great clubs such as The Machrihanish Golf Club and the Championship Links Course it has, a must for any golf fanatic aswell as welcoming clubs throughout Kintyre.
Other courses here include Tarbert, Carradale, Machrihanish, Gigha, Dunaverty and the new Dunes of Machrihanish course.
Fishing
Kintyre has an abundance of Lochs, at present they aren't all accessible by the public. For some you will need permission from the Forestry commission, for others you will need the permission of the farmer whose land they are on.
The Lochs listed on this website are all fishable by the public with a permit.
Although you won't be fishing for a British record trout, a few of the Lochs can throw up a nice surprise now and again. A couple have been stocked with Brown & Rainbow and these are tenacious fighters. All the Lochs have a good supply of hard fighting wild Scottish brown trout with the exception of Crosshill loch which has an unplanned stock of pike.
Wildlife
Kintyre has an abundance of wildlife, including rare Golden Eagles and a variety of birds of prey, otters, deer, seals and much more.
Alot of the wildlife can be seen right throughout Kintyre, with seal colonies often basking in the summer sun between 50 and 100 yards of the coastline, perfect for photo opportunities.
Machrihanish has a Seabird and Wildlife Observatory, and close by Campbeltown's Owl Sanctuary offers a rewarding day out.
