Welcome to our Lake District Holiday Cottage in Keswick
Osprey Cottage is a cosy oak beamed traditional Lake District holiday cottage in Portinscale, near Keswick, dating back to the 1700’s. It has two bedrooms, one with en-suite, and a south facing garden and Patio area, and provides excellent self-catering holiday accommodation for 4 people. It also has private parking for two cars.
Osprey Cottage retains much of its original character and has been completely refurbished throughout and is now very comprehensively equipped. It is normally let on a weekly basis (Saturday changeover) but some short winter breaks may be available.
The comfortable Dining/Living Room has a wood burning stove, ‘Freeview’ widescreen TV, DVD player and a mini HiFi system. There is a selection of books, games, maps, local interest leaflets etc.
The separate modern Kitchen is fully equipped with gas hob, electric fan oven, dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge and microwave. There is also an enclosed secure rear porch with coat hooks. Also on the ground floor is a Shower Room with WC, wash basin and thermostatically controlled shower.
The Master Bedroom is upstairs and has pine furnishings with a King-size bed, exposed oak beam, and a ‘walk-in’ wardrobe. The en-suite Shower Room has a WC, wash basin and thermostatically controlled shower.
Also on this floor is a second bedroom with pine furnishings and full size bunk beds. This room also has an exposed oak beam and good views towards Skiddaw.

Please note the prices quoted above are fully inclusive for full weeks, Saturday to Saturday. Some short breaks of three nights minimum may be available out of season.
Our Lake District Location in Keswick
Our self catering holiday cottage is located in Portinscale close Keswick in Cumbria, in the heart of the Lake District National Park. Portinscale is close to the beautiful Derwentwater in the Northern Lakes. The cottage provides the ideal base from which to explore the breathtaking scenery of the Lake District National Park or beyond to the Solway coast or Hadrian's wall. The peace and tranquillity of this beautiful area can be enjoyed whatever time of the year you visit. There are a huge range of things to do and places to see in the area, including the 4000-year-old Stone Circle of Castlerigg, the fells of Skiddaw and Blencathra, and the calm of Derwentwater, and the beauty of nearby Bassenthwaite, where you can see both red squirrels and Ospreys.
