Welcome to our Luxury Self Catering Cottage in Herefordshire
Owl Barn is a brand new contemporary barn conversion completed in summer 2009.It is set deep in the rolling hills of Herefordshire 5 miles from Leominster and within travelling distance of Ludlow, Hay -on- Wye and Hereford. It has been architect designed to make the most of the lovely views with open plan living space a large circular void and glass floors to let the light flood in.
Our Herefordshire Accommodation
There are five bedrooms one of which is a smaller room adjacent to another with a bunkbed suitable for children up to 12 yrs so would sleep a family and another with a mezzanine floor which could sleep a further adult making this a triple room if needed. Then there are two further rooms one being a groundfloor twin with wet room and the other a double.There is underfloor heating throughout a woodburner and all facilities you would expect including plasma tv, dvd player and hi fi.The large garden has a hot tub ,terrace and a flat lawned area .There is ample parking for up to 6 cars.
Our Herefordshire Location
Our cottage is set in the most beautiful location deep in the Herefordshire countryside. Surrounded by rolling hills, acres of open space, and lovely views. The closest market town is Leominster, 5 miles away with its ancient Priory Church and numerous antique shops. Ludlow is 13 miles away, a town with its stunning castle, winding streets full of independent shops and of course its famous festivals. Also 13miles away is Hereford, the city is famed for its Cathedral, Mappa Mundi and Chained Library. It has a cinema, Theatre, numerous shops, cafés and restaurants, with the beautiful river Wye running right through it.
The countryside is littered with Inns and restaurants serving locally grown produce, ranging from good value Ploughman's lunches to award winning gourmet meals. An eating out guide will be provided for you in the Barn

The closest market town is Leominster, 5 miles away with its ancient Priory Church and numerous antique shops, perfect for an afternoon spent browsing.
Ludlow is 13 miles away, "The most perfect town in England" Betjeman. A wonderful town with its stunning castle, winding streets full of independent shops and of course its famous festivals; including Ludlow Festival held in June, The Food and Drink Festival, and The Medieval Fair. It has fascinating architecture, a traditional market on most days, and of course is well known for its top class restaurants.
Hay-on-Wye is 20 miles away, another lovely market town close to the Welsh border. World famous for its Literary Festival and many book shops.
Hereford is only 13 miles away, the city is famed for its Cathedral, Mappa Mundi and Chained Library. It has a cinema, Theatre, numerous shops, cafés and restaurants, with the beautiful river Wye running right through it.
Also close by are Ledbury, Ross-on-Wye and Malvern.
Surrounding Countryside
Of course many people visit Herefordshire for the beautiful countryside. Totally unspoilt rolling hills and leafy lanes lending themselves perfectly for country walks, cycling or just driving around the many beautiful villages in the area.
In fact on your doorstep at Owl Barn are numerous footpaths and bridleways winding through fields and tracks.
There are also opportunities to canoe along the River Wye, play golf or for a rainy day a brand new bowling alley has opened just 5 miles up the road.
There is a Black and White village trail you can follow, a cheese makers, cider makers, and you can also visit farmers markets on some Saturdays.
Other festivals held in Herefordshire include; The Big Apple weekend, Flavours of Hereford Food Festival, Beer and Cider festivals as well as a cider trail and cycle routes
