Our cottages are equipped with all the best modern amenities, whilst retaining the charm and appearance of a traditional barn. The central heating is easily controlled and will keep you warm no matter what time of year you take your holiday.
The tiled porches lead into light and spacious hallways with woodem floors. The kitchens are fully equipped and each cottage has a dual fuel range cooker, microwave, dishwasher and large fridge freezer. The dining areas are an integral part of the kitchen and have solid wood tables and chairs.
The Roundhouse, which sleeps 8, has a unique beamed round lounge and Barn Cottage, which sleeps 4, has a cosy sitting room. Both are beautifully furnished with leather sofas and easy chairs, wooden flooring, hand made tables and bookcases and have fabulous open countryside views from all windows. The rooms benefit from a stone fireplace with a living flame electric stove. A television, DVD player and hi-fi complement the rooms. A wide selection of books, maps, games and a pair of binoculars are provided.
The bedrooms are stylishly furnished andf have very comfortable beds made up with fresh, crisply ironed linen. The en-suite bathrooms in Barn Cottage are identical with a deep wood lined bath, corner shower cabinet and heated towel rails. Roundhouse has a family bathroom with a corner bath and shower cabinet. The Hayloft bedroom is en-suite.
Panholes Cottages are strictly no smoking, though feel free to smoke outside whilst admiring the extensive views.
The cottages are ideally located in Blackford, near Auchterarder , in Perth and Kinross, Scotland. They are close to the beautiful tourist areas around Loch Lomond and the Trossachs and the Glencoe and Loch Leven area.
The cottages are ideally located in Perthshire with a huge range of attractions and things to do, including Scotland's oldest Distillery, the Famous Grouse Glenturret Distillery, beautiful lochs including Loch Katrine, and Loch Lomond, and historic attractions such as Stirling Castle and the Wallace Monument. Pertshire is also famous for its wonderful golf courses, and the nearby Gleneagles Golf Course and the Auchterarder golf course provide plenty of opportunities to practice your swing on beautiful fairways.
The cottages are also within easy reach of the major cities of Edinburgh and Glasgow, with their huge array of shops and attractions. There are also plenty of fabulous places to eat nearby including the 2 Michelin starred Andrew Fairlie's restaurant, and the Barley Bree restaurant in Muthill.
