Pickering Cottage is a grade II listed terraced property and lies within the historic core of the town centre. Situated on the south of Burgate St which leads off the top of Market Place. The cottage is perfectly situated for a gentle stroll into the historic town of Pickering. Pickering is a tranquil market town and the perfect location for taking a peaceful rest, at the same time providing lots to explore for the more adventurous, or family holiday/vacation.

The cottage is a charming Stone built cottage circa. 1880, sleeps 5 and has been tastefully decorated .The property boasts a fully fitted traditional kitchen and lounge on the ground floor. On the first floor a double bedroom and bathroom on the second floor is the main double bedroom. Gas central heating.The cosy living room has exposed beams and stone built fireplace (open fire) on a tiled hearth with decorative original cast surround and a bay window with a window seat.
Ouside there is a nicely presented back yard with secure storage for bikes and access through to Willowgate.

About 27 miles from Pickering is the historic city of York, where you can spend the day enjoying attractions like and the amazing York Minster and the National Railway museum as well as other world class muesums and a wealth of Roman, Viking, and Medieval heritage.
Pickering is well known as the southern terminus of the North Yorkshire Moors Railway and 'Gateway to the Moors'. It is reputed to be one of the oldest towns in the area dating back to 270BC when founded by Peredurus - King of the Brigantes. Our holiday cottage is a ideal base for exploring the North York Moors and Yorkshire's Heritage Coast.
