The lodge is spaced on a natural amphitheatre within a family owned and run private estate. Every direction you look, every window you gaze through will provide you with a view of either mountain, loch or glen.
The peace and tranquilty is all around you. Natural surroundings, dramatic mountain landscapes, glistening waters all with spiritual feelings. Whether you choose to watch the playful birds in the trees and bird feeders all around the estate, listen to the roar of Ben More Burn that runs from the nearby mountain, ramble the numerous mountains in your back garden or explore the loch and river on a boat or canoe there is something for everyone to enjoy and take home as a fond memory.
Buzzard comprises of 2 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms, open plan kitchen and dining area with separate living area with 37" LCD TV, Blu Ray DVD, Nintendo Wii and freeview SKY TV. Wifi is available. A fully fitted kitchen with washer dryer, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and microwave. Even a Senseo coffee machine and a sandwich toaster is provided. Garden furniture sits beside the lodge for use at anytime and a BBQ is available. Full bed linen including towels are also included
Portnellan Estate has many activities free of charge for the residents of Buzzard to take advantage. This includes 5 miles of loch and river game fishing, boats and Canadian canoes to explore the estate lochs and river. Bicycles are also available free of charge to explore the beautiful countryside. There is a visitors centre with plenty of information on visitor attractions, events, maps on walks, board games, DVDs and a pay phone.
The local area has an abundance of natural flora and fauna with easy access to some of the most beautiful scenery on the British Isles. A short commute will take you to a number of visitor attractions including castles, museums, galleries, distilleries, restaurants, pubs and much much more. The towns of Oban, Fort William, Perth, Pitlochry and Stirling are all approximately 1 hours drive whilst Edinburgh and Glasgow are approximately 1.5 hours.
