Press Mains Cottages offer luxury self catering in the beautiful Scottish Borders, offering you peace, relaxation and the chance of a brush with nature.
Our aim is to provide the highest quality, environmentally friendly accommodation for both families and couples. We want our guests to relax and unwind and enjoy the cottage facilities which include, spa baths, four- poster beds and open fires.
The cottages are set in a quiet, peaceful rural valley on a working farm. Coldingham Bay is just 3 miles away. Here you will find a wonderful safe sandy beach, countless rock pools, surrounded by dramatic cliffs. It is gaining a reputation as a superb surfing beach, boards and wet suits can be hired.
We offer 4 styles of cottage to meet everyone's requirements. All of our accommodation is very well appointed, and we are constantly undertaking a programme of works to ensure that your experience of 'Press Mains Cottages' is one to remember.
All of our cottages have private gardens and exclusive access from our own private farm road. So whether you would like a full family holiday or a quiet, romantic break for two, we can offer something for everyone.
This year we are pleased to offer you the chance to watch 'badgers in your bedroom', with the installation of the latest camera technology allowing you to watch a number of burrows, nesting boxes and other country environments from the comfort of your cottages living room.
This cottage is semi detached and built around the 1850s in stone and slate. It is fully central heated with double glazing and is tastefully decorated.
The cottage is child friendly cottage has ground floor facilities which can suit Grandma!
There is one double and two twin bedrooms. The master bedroom has an antique double bed, television and coffee making facilities with lovely views across the farming valley. There is a twin bedroom upstairs and a twin downstairs with a cast iron ornamental fire place.
The large living room has a stone log fire, with a comfortable three piece suite, pine table and chairs, television, DVD player, video and CD/radio player.
Modern fitted kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, double oven and a fridge freezer.
Downstairs bathroom has a air spar bath with toilet. The upstairs has shower and toilet.

The Steward's Cottage is a traditional stone bungalow, dating back to the mid 19th Century. It is perfect for families wanting to take a holiday in the lovely countryside close to the coast, or for couples wanting a romantic and relaxing break.
Steward's Cottage has a double bedroom featuring a four poster bed, with TV and coffee making facilities. There is a pretty twin bedroom, with views over the garden.
The modern bathroom, new for 2004, has a huge corner spa bath and a separate shower unit
The large sunny lounge features an open fire place, wide screen television, DVD, video and stereo with CD player. From the lounge you can access the pretty garden. The garden has a barbecue and seating area. The lawn is big enough for children or dogs to have a good play.
During the summer you can talk to our calves over the garden fence.
The kitchen with its modern facilities of dishwasher, washing/dryer, microwave, double fan oven, fridge, freezer, pine table and chairs offers a relaxing place to eat or cook. The cottage is child friendly offering high chair, cot, toys, stools and children's plates.
All facilities are one level making it ideal for the less able.
The Crofter's Cottage - Sleeps 2
Crofter's is a stone terraced bungalow with slate roof with excellent views across the rural valley. We have retained a lot of the original features including exposed wooden beams and stone work.
This cottage is ideal for couples. There is a big bedroom which can either have a king size or twin beds. There is a television and coffee making facilities in the bedroom.
This is an open plan living room and kitchen. The kitchen is a modern fitted with a dishwasher, washer dryer, microwave, fridge freezer, double fan oven. The living room has a television, video and CD player.
From each lounge you can access the enclosed garden which has a barbecue and seating area.
