All our cottages are in stunning locations and accommodate up to 4 people, ideal for your holiday in Wester Ross. Rona and Raasay both have private beach access and overlook the sea and the islands of Skye, Harris & Lewis, offering breathtaking sunsets. Enclosed gardens and ample parking.Wildlife sightings include basking sharks, Minke whales and the occasional Orca, seals, otters and sea eagles.
Melvaig has a pub/restaurant, usually open 6 days/evenings each week in season.
Cairn Shiel is the only self catering cottage in the Beinn Eighe Nature Reserve in Kinlochewe, near Torridon, overlooking two of Scotland's greatest mountains; Beinn Eighe & Slioch, and the Torridon mountains are close by. Pine Martens regularly visit the house, especially if you put food out for them! and deer and eagles are often seen. There is a good track next to the house that leads up to Beinn Eighe. Kinlochewe village, just a half mile away has a pub, petrol station and Post Office.
Our cottages are furnished and equipped to a high standard, in beautifu surroundings and are perfectly situated for bird watching and there are a wide variety of low level and high level mountain walks, plus beautiful sandy beaches to explore. Guided walking and climbing are available by pre-booking and subject to availability. From Gairloch harbour there are a variety of sea and marine life trips, including a boat that goes to the puffin colonies on the Shiant Islands.
