Welcome to our Self Catering Country Cottage in Lake District
Randlehow Cottage is tucked away at the end of an "access only" lane which houses some of Eskdale's oldest cottages. One of the older cottages in Eskdale, Randlehow Cottage was extensively refurbished in 2004 to create a dwelling that is beautiful while still remaining extremely comfortable.
As you walk in the front door of Randlehow Cottage, you enter the large sitting room with its warm pine floor and cosy open fire. The sitting room leads into the fully eqipped kitchen. From the kitchen is the dining room which leads out into the garden at the back. There is also a utility room plus a WC room downstairs. Upstairs there are three bedrooms - two doubles and one twin. Downstairs is an additional single bedroom.
Outside there is a private walled garden with patio area perfect for BBQs. The views are fabulous!
Our Lake District Location
Eskdale in the Lake District is a wonderful starting point for hundreds of walks, either on the fells or along the banks of the River Esk, which flows from Scafell at the top of the valley down to the estuary at Ravenglass, an old fishing village complete with a ruined Roman bath-house! The river has natural pools for swimming and is a popular place for canoeing and for fishing. The famous Ravenglass & Eskdale Miniature Railway runs along the valley, its steam trains leisurely making the seven mile journey down to the sea. There are five pubs in the valley, two of which are within walking distance of the cottage.
