Welcome to Rose Cottage
Wonderful pet friendly holiday cottage in Wooler, Northumberland. The cottage provides excellent self catering holiday accommodation for 4 people. Rose Cottage is an old stone cottage set in the tiny hamlet of High Humbleton, close to the small market town of Wooler. Sitting 400 feet up in the Cheviot Hills with extensive views over the Glendale Valley. There is a large garden and parking on site.
The holiday cottage is within easy reach of the unmatched beaches of North Northumberland. There are many castle to visit as well as the market towns of Alnwick and Berwick-Upon-Tweed. It is only 11 miles from the Scottish Border and this gives easy access to the border towns and wonderful countryside. There are many gardens to visit from the Gertrude Jekyll garden beside Lindisfarne Castle the Duchess of Northumberland's Alnwick garden with its Harry Potter associations, Monteviot, Chesters and many others both in Northumberland and in the border country.
There is a new eco museum celebrating the battle of Flodden whose 500 years aniversary will be celebrated next September 13th 2013
Riding fishing walking are all available locally. Pets are welcome provided they are well behaved particularly during lambing when the cottage is surrounded by sheep and their lambs. The cottage is our second home and is well furnished with pictures, books etc. It is well heated and comfortable at all seasons. It is available between 1st April to 31st October.
