Rosebank House is located in the village of "bonnie" Strathyre in central Scotland a little over one hour's drive north from Edinburgh or Glasgow. We are well-situated as a base for cyclists, walkers, golfers and birdwatchers or for sight-seeing in central Scotland: Glencoe, Fort William and Loch Lomond are all within easy reach by car.

Our B&B's Central Scotland Location
Strathyre is a pleasant village in attractive countryside on the eastern edge of The Trossachs, known as ' The Highlands in Miniature ' and made fashionable in the early 19th century by Sir Walter Scott's novels and poems. There are three inns in the villages serving a good variety of food and drink.
The Strathyre valley straddles the river Balvaig which flows between Loch Voil in Balquhidder and Loch Lubnaig. The hills on each side of the valley are covered by the Strathyre forest. Spring and autumn are particularly colourful seasons. Strathyre and the surrounding areas are rich in birds, wildlife, woodlands and flora.
A little over an hour's drive from both Edinburgh and Glasgow, Strathyre is well located for exploring much of Scotland with Perth, Fort William, the Arrochar Alps and even Loch Ness all reachable by car. The more adventurous may choose to drive to Oban and catch a ferry to one of the islands or enjoy the spectacular train journey from Crianlarich to Fort William and Mallaig. Strathyre is 8 miles north of Callander, 19 miles from Stirling and 31 miles from Perth.
