When looking for luxury self-catering accommodation in the Lake District (South), look no further than the spectacular Rye Meadows and Burrow Meadows; 2 stunning properties set in landscaped gardens with a pond and stream. Both homely accommodations have panoramic views across the LuneValley and are beautifully furnished to a high standard. You will begin to unwind and relax as soon as you arrive. They are the perfect place to explore the Lake District and YorkshireDalesNational Parks; there's something for every member of the family, regardless of age or personal taste.
Rye Meadows has achieved a Visit Britain 4 stars Gold Award. It has a spacious living area leading to a balcony and the large picture windows have views over the beautiful LuneValley where you can watch the animals grazing in the fields opposite. It has two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a gallery landing seating area where you can relax with a book or magazine. The double (private) mezzanine bedroom also has views across the LuneValley, a walk in wardrobe and a luxurious private bathroom. The twin bedroom has views over the ornamental pond and towards Ingleborough.
Burrow Meadows is the perfect romantic hideaway and has also achieved a Visit Britain 4 stars Gold Award. It has a spacious living area with large picture windows leading to a patio which is set within landscaped gardens, overlooking a stream and boasts views over the LuneValley where you can also watch the animals grazing in the fields opposite. The property has a double bedroom with solid oak furniture with views over the ornamental pond and landscaped gardens. It also has a luxury bathroom.
Rye Meadows and Burrow Meadows both have stylish and luxurious furnishings and contain everything to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable. The luxury fitted kitchens have a dishwasher, fridge and freezer, microwave, oven and hob and there is also a washing machine and tumble dryer as well as wall mounted LCD TV, DVD and CD and contemporary hole in the wall fire in the living areas. The beds have been carefully selected to ensure guests enjoy their holiday in comfort.
The Leisure Country Club
Guests at both properties have complimentary membership to the leisure facilities at the Country Club which includes an 18 metre swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and fully equipped gym. The Country Club also includes activities such as aqugym and aerobics and there is also a Beauty Salon.
Kirkby Lonsdale
Rye Meadows and Burrow Meadows are within walking distant to the historic Kirkby Lonsdale - a market town on the boundaries of Cumbria, Lancashire and North Yorkshire and was included in the Domesday Book of 1086. It has 17th and 18th century buildings and is famous for Ruskin’s View – a painting of the River Lune by the artist Turner. It is also famous for Devil’s Bridge which is a three arched bridge that spans the River Lune.
Kirkby Lonsdale oozes history but is also known for its trendy shops. It retains individual chic boutiques, restaurants and attractive 17th and 18th century inns. There are many riverside and country walks in the area.
