Shute cottage is a character property some 200 years old set in the heart of the farming village of Cornworthy.
Set in the lovely countryside of South Hams, South Devon, our pet friendly, self catering accommodation sleeps 5. Equidistant from Totnes and Dartmouth you can enjoy the villages dotted around the narrow lanes or travel slightly further afield and enjoy the coast with its beaches and coastal footpaths.
Our cottage has 1 single bed and 2 doubles, a single bathroom and our kitchen comes with all the modern appliances you could wish for. There is also a TV with DVD player and a book library.
From its garden you can enjoy lovely undulating countryside views. The garden is on several levels and has its own natural spring flowing through it. There is parking for 2 cars.

Cornworthy has a dog and family friendly pub which produces excellent meals. Walkers can enjoy fcountry walks that take you down to the Dart Valley Estuary and beyond. Cornworthy is equidistant from Totnes and Dartmouth where shopping, restaurants and places of interest can be found. Woodland Leisure Park is close by for young families and the Butterfly Farm and Otter Sanctuary are only some 10 miles away at Buckfast.
Why not try a day out on the steam railway from Kingswear to Paignton or Totnes to Buckfast. Another place to visit is Dittisham where you can enjoy the views of the estuary and catch a ferry to Dartmouth or to Greenway House. Greenway House, once the home of Agatha Christie, has just opened its doors to the public after a £5.4 million refurbishment. Well worth a visit, where you can also enjoy the beautiful gardens especially in springtime. Nearby is the Vineyard of Sharpham just north of Asprington you can enjoy a relaxing stroll round the vineyard followed by wine-tasting on the patio - excellent - do also try their own cheeses - very tasty. Pay and play golf is available at Dartmouth Golf and Country Club at nearby Blackawton.
