The location of Sundial House cannot be beaten, just yards from the beach and a minute or two's walk from the ever popular town of Aldeburgh. The garden, with sun terrace, is fully enclosed and private, an ideal place to relax. There is an adjoining cottage which can also be rented with the house sleeping a further 4 people, please see Sundial Cottage on this website.
Our Suffolk Accommodation
There is a spacious living room with comfortable sofas, large flat screen TV with SKY, marble fireplace and doors leading through to the sunny conservatory and elegant dining room. Both dining room and conservatory have tables and chairs for dining and French doors leading out onto the terrace and garden. You will find a good sized kitchen with large range cooker, dishwasher and fridge freezer along with a separate utility room. There is a double bedroom with en-suite shower room, a further three twin bedrooms all with vanity basins, two with French doors to the garden, second sitting room with sofa, futon and French doors to the garden, family bathroom and two cloakrooms on the ground floor. Upstairs there are three twin bedrooms, two double bedrooms with 5ft beds one of which has an en-suite bathroom, a large Art Deco style family bathroom and a separate cloakroom. All upstairs bedrooms have stunning sea views and most have a vanity basin. The garden, with sun terrace, is fully enclosed and private, an ideal place to relax. BBQ, parasols and patio furniture are provided along with a Wendy house and a selection of games to keep the children amused. There is secure off road parking for four cars along with additional roadside parking nearby.
Our Suffolk Location
Our house is located opposite to Aldeburgh's unspoilt beach and a few minutes walk to the charming High Street which has changed little from Victorian times, although now boasting a range of exclusive shops, high quality restaurants, art galleries and even an award winning fish and chip shop. With a sailing club, golf course and tennis courts to meet the needs of the more active you will also find specialist wine shops, museum and independent cinema for those looking for a more relaxing stay.
Noted for its association with the composer Benjamin Britten, Aldeburgh was the backdrop for many of his operas, close by is the world famous Snape Maltings Concert Hall where the annual Music and Arts Festival is held. Lovely strolls along the beach or beach path can be enjoyed as well as picturesque drives to other towns and villages of interest including; Thorpeness, Walberswick, Dunwich, Orford, Southwold and Woodbridge. Also close by is the RSPB reserve at Minsmere and a few miles south Sutton Hoo, the Anglo Saxon burial ground.
