Sunny Bank Farm is 4 miles from Coniston, a small but busy typical Lakeland town, and just three-quarters of a mile from Torver, where there are 2 pubs. Popular tourist centres such as Ambleside, Grasmere and Hawkshead are about half an hour away by car. The grounds (16 acres) are bordered by Torver Common and the Cumbria Way to the north and grazed farmland to the south; across the road is Torver Beck and more farmland, and to the east a long stretch of lakeshore onto Coniston Water. Sunny Bank Farm is an ideal location for mountain walking, boating, swimming, sailing and other water-based activities.
Sunny Bank Farm is fully equipped to cater for up to 12 people and has 2 large lounges both containing plenty of comforable seating. One has an open fire and a music system - ideal for quiet reading and conversation. The other has a TV with full Sky package, DVD player, board games etc. The kitchen is equipped with everything you might require for catering for parties of up to 12, and the large diningroom table easily seats that number as well. A high chair and booster seat are both available. In addition there is a small den which can be used for accommodating the 12th person (on a good quality chair-bed) or as a quiet place for work or hobbies. It also has a TV where you may plug in your own games console without disturbing other people!
There are 5 spacious bedrooms, each prettily furnished and with ample drawer and hanging space. Two have double beds, two are twin rooms, and the fifth has 3 single beds, a dropside cot and a travel cot. A folding-bed is provided for a twelfth person, or they may sleep downstairs on the chair-bed or sofa-bed. There are 3 WCs upstairs and 1 downstairs. There are also 3 pumped showers (one is over a bath), and ample supplies of hot water.
