The Angel Inn was built in 1802 as an English gentleman's residence and has been refurbished over the past few years to offer comfortable and stylish surroundings with a contemporary feel, without losing the traditional ambience of a true Lake District retreat.
There are 13 ensuite bedrooms which are all individually styled, 11 in the main building and 2 situated in The Angel Gatehouse. All rooms have tea and coffee facilities, flat screen TV with 10 channels, we have family rooms and some rooms have Lake Views. Rooms all vary in size with the rooms in The Gatehouse being the largest.
Food is one of the main focuses at The Angel Inn with food served all day from 8:30am with just an hours break between 4-5pm. Breakfast is always included for our resident guests, why not start the day with our full Lakeland breakfast or try something a little bit different, pancakes, crisp bacon and maple syrup or smoked salmon and scrambled egg perhaps. All of our food is freshly prepared on the premises with the emphasis on using local produce and suppliers wherever possible. There is always a little something for everyone, sandwiches, hot ciabattas, light lunches, traditional pub dishes or full restaurant meals cooked by our award winning chefs.
The Angel Inn is a member of The Old England Spa which is a short walk away..They also have beauty treatments at a charge that will need to be booked in advance.
