Welcome to our self catering Coattage in Mid Wales
Hidden in the beautiful Vale of Kerry sit The Forest Cottages and Country House B&B; 3 splendid Victorian holiday cottages and a 5 star B&B set in 4 acres of beautiful gardens and paddocks. The tranquil rural setting makes it the perfect place in which to relax and an ideal base from which to explore the many attractions of Mid Wales including Powis Castle National Trust. Less than a mile away is Kerry village which has a pub restaurant and it is a 5 minute drive from Newtown on the border of Powys and Shropshire.
Each cottage accommodates 4 or 5 people with extra beds also possible and the B&B has 5 ensuite bedrooms. The furnishings and decoration of all share a style which respects the original Victorian architecture. Two adjacent cottages have internal doors which may be unlocked for larger groups and one cottage has a ground floor single room. The B&B is in the original country house and along with the cottages has been extensively restored back to its former Victorian grandeur.
Children of all ages are welcome and there is an outside play area, toy boxes, DVDs and a free games room. WIFI internet is available on request. The Forest is a family run business and also the home of Paul & Michelle Martin and their 2 young children.
They nestle in a narrow valley bordered by Gilfach woods and the little river Mule. Each cottage has is own garden or patio area and there is a play area for younger children within the 4 acres of gardens. There is also a free games room and a tennis court for everyone's enjoyment We strive to offer the highest quality self catering and B&B accommodation for walkers, riders, cyclists, business people, families and holiday makers looking for a secluded and tranquil location in which to relax and from which to explore the area of The Marches.
