Charming 2 bedroomed holiday cottage overlooking Loch Shin, in the village of Lairg, in the Highlands of Scotland.. Immaculately furnished. All mod.cons. Private garden with raised decking area, Parking space. Sleeps 4.
The cottage has a spacious main bedroom with King-size bed. The second bedroom has two single beds and views over the Loch. Both bedrooms offer ample wardrobe space. The modern bathroom has a bath and walk-in shower.
Downstairs consists of a porch with tumble drier, washing machine,, and small freezer. A well equipped kitchen and a lovely dining room with beamed ceiling and wood floor. The light and spacious lounge is on the first floor; overlooking the Loch, offering uninterupted stunning views.
The Gallery has a garden to the rear with shrub and flower border and decking. which also overlooks Loch Shin.. The adjoining property to The Gallery has access on foot through the garden.
This is an ideal holiday accommodation in which to relax and it's central position to explore the Highlands gives multiple choices of places to visit. Beautiful Dunrobin Castle home of the Dukes of Sutherland is 20 miles away and has a Falconry display throughout the summer. Glenmorangie distillary is at Tain 30 minutes drive away and The famous Royal Dornoch Golf links which overlook the sea are 20 miles away and each saturday evening in the summer a Pipe Band and wee Scottish dancers in the Centre of the town. Shin Falls owned by Al Fyed which has an excellent daytime restaraunt and Harrods of the Highlands shop,plus a childrens play area is only 4 miles away at Glen Achney. The salmon leap up the Falls of Shin during the summer.
There are many golf courses close by and fishing in the Loch is available. The Gallery was built in 1868 was once the main sorting office for the Highlands, it was divided into two dwellings at the turn of the century and was converted into the lovely character cottage it is today in recent years. It is in the village of Lairg which hosts the main sheep sales for the Highlands during August. Gala week is in July and the local areas have their own Gala or Highland Games during the Summer.
