The Old School House bed & breakfast is situated just four miles from the historic walled town of Berwick-upon-Tweed, in peaceful countryside surroundings. The B&B is in an ideal location for exploring both Northumberland and the Scottish Borders. This countryside guesthouse has 3 bedrooms, all with en suite facilities. It has its own walled garden and conservatory area where guests can look out on the spectacular countryside landscape. With all manner of countryside activities available nearby such as horse riding, fishing cycling and walking this is the perfect holiday accommodation for a family holiday or a peaceful getaway.
Our Northumberland Bed and Breakfast Accommodation
Our peaceful countryside B&B accommodation has 3 ensuite guest bedrooms. There is also a drawing room area with traditional log fire. All our meals are home cooked and prepared with high quality local produce for that authentic taste. The enclosed garden gives the guest house a secluded feel, where guests can enjoy the mature trees, and various flowers, shrubs and vegetables we grow in the garden.

The historic walled city of Berwick upon Tweed is almost literally on our doorstep as well as being a short drive from the Scottish border. Guests are spoiled for choice for places to eat if they decide to go out for a meal, with many guests finding some of the local food so good that they go back every night! There are a whole host of activities available a short distance away such as horse riding and other equestrian activities. Fishing is available in the area. The guest house is also in a great location for cycling, mountain biking or walking in the area of the Northumberland National park, an Area of Outstanding Beauty where guests can visit sites such as Hadrian’s wall, now a World Heritage Site.
Guests can also visit Northumberland’s other Area of Outstanding Beauty, the Northumberland Coast. This beautiful 39 mile coastline is just a short drive away and comes complete with every kind of coastal scenery you could wish for, from beaches and cliffs to isolated islands.
