The Stables cottage is a very comfortable and cosy cottage on a Farm. It has a stunning location with amazing 360 degree views, including sea, estuary, islands and hills and mountains. It is a wonderful place to get away from all, and Laugharne is only a short walk away (it takes much longer getting back as it is al lup hill on the way back!).
The cottage has two bedrooms, one bathroom and one main living, dining kitchen area. There is also a utility room/library attached to the cottage. There is a huge collection of videos, DVDs, CDs, books and magazines and there are also games, cards, jigsaws. The cottage has very efficient central heating, but also has a wood burning stove.
The Stables cottage is designed for couples and families with dogs, so there are throws for the settees and beds, a hosepipe to clean dirty dogs off outside, spare dog bowls and dog towels. Dogs can play in the fields around the farm and for those dogs who enjoy agility there is a sand arena with plastic jumps that they can use. There is no restriction on the number or size of dogs.
Laugharne is a lovely place to visit with lots of interesting walks and places where you can go and eat and take your dog with you. There is also a seven mile stretch of beach at Pendine, just a ten minute drive away. Laugharne has a number of pubs and restaurants, shops, a post office and a bakery. It also has a Castle and the poet Dylan Thomas' home to visit.
Further afield Pembrokeshire is only a short drive away, Saundersfoot being about a 20 minute drive. Carmarthen is 25 minutes away and the Gower is about an hour away. There are lots of visitor attractions in the area including Castles, activity centres and gardens including Colby, The National Botanic Garden of Wales and Aberglasney.
