Brackenrigg Holiday Cottage are located in the centre of the Lake District National Park. The self catering accommodation is set in 5 acres of gardens, woodland and meadow just 2.5 miles south of the beautiful market town of Keswick-on-Derwentwater and 10mins drive from historic Grasmere, in Cumbria. There are a huge range of wonderful attractions and things to do near the cottages, and the 5000 year old Castlerigg Stone Circle is just 1.5 miles away. There are a great range of walks straight from the door, ranging from gentle strolls to more rugged hikes.
The Sett is a beautifully appointed self catering cottage in our converted 18th century barn. It has open stonework walls, feature beams, and huge barn-style windows. The views to the front of the Helvellyn range are truly stunning. It has a spacious galleried open-plan living/dining/kitchean area. The kitchen is fully equipped with ceramic hobs, oven, microwave, fridge with freezer section, dishwasher, breakfast bar. There is a laundry room. The lounge area has two large comfortable sofas, and Sky TV/dvd. The cottage has full central heating throughout. Free wi-fi.
The holiday cottage has two bedrooms, one double and one twin, each with handbasin. There is an additional z-bed suitable for a child, and an extra sofa-bed in the entrance hall area for occassional use (say if someone joins you for a couple of nights). Total sleeping capaicity is 4-6. There is a family bathroom with shower over the bath.
Outside there is a private patio area with seating, BBQ and 5 acres of grounds incluidng gardens and a ballplay paddock. Our woodland is home to abundant wildlife including our friendly red squirrels which visit our feeders by your cottage daily.
