Welcome to The Traddock.
An elegant Georgian country house hotel set in magnificent scenery of the Yorkshire dales National park, the village itself is nestled at the base of Ingleborough, one of the areas three famous peaks and offers spectacular scenery.
The hotel gets its name from the “trading paddock” it was built on in the 1700’s, hence the Traddock!
This is a family run independent hotel, with a relaxed and homely atmosphere that sets it apart from the usual. A tremendously engaging fusion of traditional country-house comfort and real style, complete with English antiques and log fires and just the right touch of sophistication to create a more intimate ambience in the attractive bar area. The garden decking for sunny summer days is another bonus.
In the pretty bedrooms, each of the twelve ensuite bedrooms is individually styled and offers those little extra touches for guests’ comfort and relaxation. The look is crisp but cosy, and there are some fabulous antique beds.
The award winning certified organic restaurant offers a loosely modern British menu with an emphasis on seasonal & local produce. Austwick itself is astonishingly unspoilt, and the magnificent walking country encompassed by the Yorkshire Dales National Park literally begins at the Traddock's front door. Scenic railways, limestone caves and the tourist delights of York and Fountains Abbey are within easy reach.
