Topsy Turvey is a stone built holiday cottage set in its own large enclosed garden and enjoys commanding views of the Cheviot Hills. It is finished to a high specification providing contemporary and comfortable self catering accomodation for 4 people. There is pretty entrance hall leading to the 2 bedrooms/ensuite bathrooms and a good sized uitily - perfect for drying off outdoor gear. Upstairs is a beautiful kitchen/dining/living area with a glass door leading to steps to the garden and BBQ area. From here you can enjoy the view of Humbleton Hill.
Turvelaws is a working farm situated on the edge of the Northumberland National Park and only half a mile from the thriving maket town of Wooler. We are equidistant between the historical market towns of Berwick Upon Tweed and Alnwick (Castle and Gardens) home of Harry Potter. Northumberland's gorgeous Heritage Coast, Holy Island, The Farne Islands and the Scottish Borders are all within easy reach of Turvelaws.
Enjoy our private tennis court, fish on the River Till running through the farm, golf nearby at Doddington or further afield at Belford, Goswick or Coldstream. A Sustrans cycle track is only 1 mile away or if mountain biking is your thing why not try our local track in the hills. Walk the Cheviots (St Cuthberts Way) passes through Wooler or simply relax and unwind! Horse ride at the 3 equestrian centres nearby. Gliding at the glendale gliding club 4 miles from Turvelaws.Running - join the Wooler running club on a Tuesday night for a run in the Cheviot Hills (Spring, Summer and early Autumn).
The owners are on hand to help with anything you need and can put you in touch with a wonderful caterer who will provide you with homemade meals for your freezer. For that extra special evening she can prepare a dinner party for you - the ultimate evening in!
