Trewyn Isaf is a spacious, stone, detached house. It was built as a holiday house in the 1880's by the current owner’s great grandfather and has been used as a holiday house ever since. In 2000 it was completely modernised but we have tried to retain as many as possible of its Victorian features. The result is a comfortable, relaxed house which is ideal for family seaside holidays.
It can sleep nine people in four large bedrooms and a small child's room, (which is known as the Captain's Cabin). One large room has a double bed and the other three have twin beds. There are a bathroom with a Victoria roll top bath (complete with claws!) and separate shower room upstairs. There is a walk in shower room and toilet downstairs, ideal for sandy folk off the beach!
On the ground floor are the dining room with a large antique mahogany table, the sitting room with open fireplace, family room with 2nd TV, kitchen, and utility room.
There is full oil central heating, unlimited hot water on demand, secondary glazing, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, garden furniture and barbeque. Bed linen is supplied but not towels.
On the Welsh system used until 2008 the house had a 4 star rating. There has been a systematic down grading in Wales using the new British standards and it now rates as 3 stars.
Well behaved pets are welcome but should not be allowed upstairs in the house. The property has a Friday changeover. Heating oil is charged at cost when you leave. Electricity is included in the rent.
The house is in the best location in Rhosneigr (it was the first holiday house in the village!) and sits in four acres of private sand dunes. It is just above the beach with a path leading down. The view out West across the sandy bay is magnificent, especially at sunset when the sun goes down behind Holyhead Mountain in the distance.
The sweeping sandy bay has prevailing onshore winds making it ideal for water sports and it is popular with sailors, wind surfers, and, increasingly, kite surfers. It is also great for the bucket and spade brigade! The little Crygyll river flows out into the bay in front of the house making a natural swimming pool at high tide.
