Welcome to Viewfield House
A uniquely situated hotel within the Islands capital Portree, yet set in 20 acres of woodland garden, this country hotel is an ideal base for touring Skye.
Built over 200 years ago, Viewfield House retains all its original charm and the splendid Victorian interior is wonderfully intact.
Viewfield House has 11 bedrooms, ten are en-suite and one has an adjacent private bathroom. Each room is individually decorated with original features preserved where possible. We have one ground-floor, disabled friendly bedroom with a walk-in wet-floor shower room.
Enjoy a Scottish house-party atmosphere with bed and breakfast, we also serve light suppers most evenings and are fully licensed to serve alcohol.
A wireless internet network is available for guests who have laptop computers.
We are open between Easter and October. We can also cater for exclusive use functions, with a minimum of 3 nights, all year round.
Viewfield is situated in Portree, which makes it an ideal base for visiting different areas of Skye. We are a ten minute walk from Portree’s town centre, where you will find interesting shops and fantastic restaurants serving exquisite local produce.
