Welcome to our Pet Friendly Holiday Cottages in Wales
Waunifor was once a significant historic estate amounting to 2000 acres and now the character buildings have been converted into homely and traditional holiday accommodation, with five self-catering holiday cottages sleeping from 2-10 people. Each of them has central heating and is fully equipped with a full range of equipment and appliances. All of the cottages are spacious with their own unique style and character.
Duckpond Cottage is a delightful cottage for two people, Robin Cottage is a cute cottage on one level which sleeps 4 people in 3 bedrooms. Stable Cottage sleeps 6 people in 3 bedrooms and has lots of character with a lovely beamed living room with woodburner. Coachhouse Mews provides accommodation for 8 people in 5 bedrooms and has 2 bathrooms as well as a very homely lounge with open fire . It is elegant and light and is all on one level reached by a short flight of stairs and was once the accommodation for the Coachmen of the estate. The Longhouse is a listed building built in 1760 of traditional welsh longhouse design and has a magnificent inglenook fireplace with woodburner and impressive oak beams. It is very spacious sleeping 10 people in 5 bedrooms and has 2 bathrooms. Cottages can be booked indvidually or collectively for larger groups.
All cottages are close to each other and set in five acres of magical and pretty gardens which you will enjoy exploring. As well as the wooded copse, wildlife pond and stream, there is a children's play area with large sandpit, swing and slide. The Victorican walled garden once supplied the mansion house family wih food and has been turned over to vegetables once again. There are various courtyards throughout the site surrounded by mature trees, shrubs and a variety of flowers throughout the year and the whole place is teeming with birds and other wildlife.
We are located on a quiet country lane in lovely countryside close to the Teifi River. There are many walks nearby as well local attractions such as the National Woollen Museum, Newquay Honey Farm, Henllan Steam Railway and Norwood gardens and we are only 25 minutes drive from the unspoilt delightful beaches of Cardigan Bay.
