Welford Cottage was been sympathetically refurbished this Summer 2009 and provides an excellent standard of accommodation in a peaceful countryside setting.
The property has plenty of character being tastefully decorated with antiques and period pieces. On the ground floor there is an open plan lounge/dining room with exposed beams and a brick feature fireplace. Chill with a glass of wine on the comfy sofa or arm chair, watch a DVD or the TV which has Freeview or listen to some music on the mini CD player or iPod docking station available.
To ensure your stay is as relaxed as possible you will find candles, various music CDs, a good selection of DVDs, books and magazines at your disposal.
The dining area has a glass topped dining table, which seats four. The well equipped kitchen has an electric oven/hob, microwave, fridge, washer/dryer and dishwasher, plus pretty much all the kitchen paraphernalia you should need during your stay.
From the lounge; french windows open out onto the private terrace garden, with seating for 4 people, perfect for reading the newspapers or for dining out al fresco.
The terrace has wonderful views and with open access to the lawned communal garden it is ideal for a spot of sunbathing, a game of boules, frisbee or badminton and big enough for the children to let off steam whilst you sit back and relax.
Off the entrance hall there is downstairs toilet and the staircase leading to the first floor which has two bedrooms - one with a king-size bed and the other with a double bed, portsabel TV and space for a cot. Both have built-in wardrobes and importantly comfy mattresses.
The stylish new bathroom has a vanity unit, bath, shower, heated towel rail and a selection of toiletries at your disposal, as well as candles to help you unwind.
A Welcome Pack is provided which includes Tea, Coffee (instant and fresh ground), Sugar, Milk, Juice, Olive oil, Condiments and Biscuits. Plus, for your convenience, all bedlinen, towels, tea-towels, electricity, hot water, heating, cleaning materials, loo rolls and fresh flowers are included in the rental price. A new Graco travel cot/playpen is available too, at no extra cost.
The owners personally manage all lettings and clean and maintain the cottage to a very high standard and with attention to detail.
Unfortunately, pets are not allowed to stay and for the comfort of all of our guests smoking is not permitted in the cottage.
