Woodpecker Holiday Cottage in Norfolk has 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms. Woodpecker communicates with Swallow cottage and is designed for the extended family or large group holidays.
Bedroom 3 has Ikea bunk beds for older children, bedroom 2 has standard twin beds and bedroom 1 has a king sized double bed and an ensuite shower room & w.c.
Woodpecker Holiday Cottage has large glazed doors leading to a private terrace and the communal garden space where children find friends and make the most of the open space still within sight of their parents’ cottage.
Out of school holidays the sitting area is a quiet warm place to sit and observe nature’s habitat what ever the time of year.

Our Location
Our Holiday Cottages are close to Wells Next The Sea and ideally located for the North Norfolk Coast and anyone looking for a holiday cottage near Wells, Holkham, Burnham Market and Brancaster further along the coast . The unspoilt beaches are a haven for nature lovers and young families at any time of year. The Burnhams are within easy reach, Burnham Thorpe is famously known as Nelsons birthplace and Burnham Overy Staithe is where he learned to sail. Burnham Market by contrast is better known for its sophisticated mix of individual shops and places to eat, and is often referred to as Chelsea by Sea. The holiday cottages are within easy reach of Holt and Blakeney with their antique shops and art galleries. A short journey to the west takes you to the sandy beach at Brancaster and the National Trust Millenium Activity centre. Further on you reach Old Hunstanton and the royal retreat at Sandringham. To the east there is the wonderful Sheringham Park and the steam railway.
Our Activities
The Norfolk Countryside is perfect for cycling although you may find that it's not as flat as you first thought. We have safe storage barn for bikes and a drying space for wet weather gear. We provide a selection of route maps. If you don’t want to bring your own bike, cycle hire is available locally. You can also discover Norfolk from a different perspective - on foot. Unwind with therapeutic marsh, beach or pinewoods walks. We also have the Holkham estate close by offering a number of walking routes to suit all ages and abilities. Walkers can explore the numerous nature reserves or SSI’s mentioned. Sailing at Burnham Overy Staithe or Brancaster is only a few miles from our Norfolk Holiday Cottages. Our Norfolk Holiday Cottages are on the doorstep for the Wells and Holkham circuit, part of the National Cycle Network in Norfolk route no.1.
