Each room has been thoughtfully furnished retaining is original character with open oak beams and spice cupboard in the sitting/dinning room, 37" freesat HD TV, DVD and sterio. Original court cupboard in the snug. Solid pine wood traditional country style fitted breakfast/kitchen, with electric 2 oven Aga (full instructions provided).

Idyllically located in a quiet position nestled at the foot of Place Fell, but only 450 meters from the village store, post office and pub of the picturesque village of Patterdale and just half a mile from the shores of Ullswater Lake.
The area has lots to offer, activities such as sailing, cycling, horse riding, country pursuits and outdoor adventure activities are all available locally, and of course exellent walking for all abilities for the front door, being only 100 meters from the fell gate leading you onto Place Fell and the High Street range, with the towering Helvellyn visible from the property. The path that leads to the popular lakeshore walk taking you to Howtown or Pooley Bridge is just 200 meters away where you can return on the famous Ullswater Steamers. There are also leisure facilities 1 mile from Wordsworth Cottage & Barn.
Patterdale is a popular base for touring the Lakes. Surrounded by Penrith, Keswick, Windermere and Ambleside all within a 30-minute drive. Attractions in the area include Dalemain House, Aira Force arboretum and falls, the Kirkstone Pass and Rheged.
All fuel, (electricity, oil, wood) and bed linen are provided. Cot, highchair and towels are available to hire. The property has Wi-Fi access is double glazed and oil central heating throughout with additional wood burner in the living/dinning room.
This stylish cottages once owned by the well-known poet William Wordsworth and with links to the arts and craft era is the perfect retreat for romantic breaks; relaxing holiday’s and out of season short breaks in quality accommodation.
