Welcome to Y Bwthyn Bach, our self catering holiday cottage in Welsh St. Donats, near Cowbridge and Cardiff in the beautiful Vale of Glamorgan in Wales. This excellent ground floor self-catering accommodation sleeps up to 4 people, and is wheelchair friendly with good disabled access.
Our Vale of Glamorgan Self Catering Accommodation
Y Bwthyn Bach provides self-catering accommodation for 2 to 4 people. The cottage is located a few yards away from the main house, and is tastefully decorated, comfortably furnished, centrally heated and double-glazed. The spacious ground floor self catering accommodation is wheelchair-friendly and comprises a large kitchen / living area (with a bed settee), a bathroom and one bedroom which may be twin or super king bedded. The bathroom has a wash hand basin, a bath with an overhead shower with transfer points for a wheelchair alongside the bath and WC.
The rear door leads to a patio area with a garden table and chairs for 'al fresco' meals in an attractive secluded garden, with ramped access suitable for a wheelchair. Within the garden are a pond and a stream (both with a maximum depth of approx four feet) making it unsuitable for small children to be left unattended at any time.
The holiday cottage is well equipped and provides excellent self catering accommodation, which includes a well equipped kitchen and lounge with television, video and an extensive supply of tourist information. Access to free WIFI is also available on request.
Our self catering tariff includes all bedding (duvets) and bed linen, towels and tea towels. For your convenience and with our compliments, a small welcome starter pack of essentials is provided which includes tea, coffee, sugar, milk, kitchen roll, soap, washing up liquid, Clingfilm, toilet paper and bin liners. Additional equipment is available: travel cot (£10 per stay); high chair £5 per stay). Please note the cottage is strictly non-smoking and pet free.

Our cottage is in delightful countryside in a quiet and peaceful rural location close to the elegant market town of Cowbridge, in the Vale of Glamorgan in Wales. The town of Cowbridge has an abundance of restaurants, wine bars and inns. The cottage provides the ideal base for exploring the Vale of Glamorgan, and is easily accessible, being just 4 miles from the M4 Junction 34 and 3 miles from Cowbridge. The cottage is just 11 miles from Cardiff. There are a huge range of great visitor attractions and things to do and see in the Cardiff and Vale of Glamorgan area, with something to suit the family, as well as golf, fishing and the beautiful coast all close by.
