A restored farmhouse providing Bed and Breakfast in a quiet rural hamlet in the Almeria countryside.
Farmhouse sleeps 12 and the cottage sleeps 4/5 total up to 14/16 plus 2 cots. Ideal for larger groups, charming and comfortable, all the rooms have quaint farmhouse individuality. Just a 25 minute drive is the lively coastal town of Mojacar and some of the most wonderful beaches and coves make this an ideal vacation destination.
Almond Reef is a family run business, named after its location, built on an ancient fossil reef and surrounded by Almond and Olive trees, where in January and February the almond blossom is absolutely stunning! The farmhouse being the original 150 year old building in the hamlet of Los Josefos and has been lovingly restored to a very high standard, retaining many of the original features a majority of rooms still retain their low beamed ceilings, with modern bathrooms to provide elegant accommodation for our guests.
For large parties Almond Reef and Reef Cottage can open up to become one unit. Guests have the use of a barbecue, large sun terrace, beautiful garden which still retains the original Bread Oven. A hydrotherapy swim/spa pool, with great views of the surrounding mountains. After dark, stargazers will be delighted with the clarity of the night sky. At Almond Reef, we can offer you all the facilities you require for a relaxing and sociable stay, in a lovely location and a beautiful unspoilt area of rural Spain.
Breakfast is usually at 8.30 to 10.00, no need to rush just relax and enjoy. Breakfast consists of a selection of jams and assorted pastries (croissant, pain au chocolate, magdalenas - Spanish cakes), toast, Fresh fruit salad, orange juice, yoghurts fruit or plain, tea, and coffee,

NOTE: Summer time in rural Spain can lead to water shortages which means the mains water is frequently turned off, at Reef Cottage we have the unique facility of back-up water tanks so our quests are not inconvenienced.
