Welcome our self catering lodge in the Scottish Highlands.
Our Lodge is a detached wooden lodge of modern but tasteful construction. As its name suggests, it commands a superb location set in the trees with views over beautiful Loch Eil.
The Lodge has two bedrooms, a double and a twin, making it ideal for a small family. The large bathroom has a bath, or if you prefer to use it, an electric shower. The spacious living area encompasses a lounge with comfortable seating, a dining room and a well fitted kitchen with laundry facilities.
Our Location
Altdarroch Farm self catering cottages are located 10 miles west from Fort William on the famous Road to the Isles. They are ideally situated for touring the Highlands, walking, climbing, fishing, skiing, golfing and a whole host of other activities.
The ski centre at Nevis Range is approximately fifteen miles away, and the famous monument to Bonnie Prince Charlie at Glenfinnan a mere seven miles away in the opposite direction.
Further along the Road to the Isles the fishing village of Mallaig is a drive of about one hour away, while before reaching Mallaig you will come to the Silver Sands of Morar, beaches which are second to none in Scotland, or indeed the whole of Britain.
The village of Morar overlooks the sands, and is well worth a short detour off the main road for a visit. Carry on to Mallaig, and if you are looking for somewhere to eat, try the West Highland Hotel, which overlooks the harbour across to Skye.
