Located in the middle of a forest, in the outskirts of the municipality of Cuacos de Yuste, this rural apartment is part of the property El Melojar, where we reside.
Our love for nature drives all our efforts for conservation, so using photovoltaic plates we generate 99% of our own electricity in the summer, and 80% in the winter. A water conservation system was installed in each of the bathrooms and in the kitchen, as well as a mechanism to recirculate hot water avoiding its waste, and another to ecologically treat residues. All rooms were painted with eco-paints, and there is an organic vegetable garden and orchard.
We have developed our property with the uttermost respect for the native oak forest, maintaining as much as possible its natural state.
Nature-lovers will truly enjoy walking around the property, where wild flowers and native plants abound, and sightings of wildlife such as fox, partridges, rabbits, as well as a large variety of species of birds are common.
